Grounding Technique

When I say to people and clients, "Ground yourself" they look at me like I am a nut.  It is very simple to do.  It is very therapeutic as well.  You may do this anywhere.  In your car, office, bed, anywhere.  Especially if your feeling overwhelmed or stressed out.  This is a great relaxation method as well.

There are many techniques to grounding yourself as well as protecting yourself.  Some call it Shield and Protecting yourself.  You may Google it as well.  

You may sit or stand.  You may close your eyes.  The main thing is to relax and breathe.  Take a deep breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.  Again, in through the nose and out through the mouth.  

Repeat 2 times.

Now, put your awareness inside your feet.

Be present there for a moment.

Then pretend that the only part of your body is breathing is your feet.  Do this for a few minutes until you are connected to your feet.  

Then move your awareness deep inside the Earth.  

Be present there for a moment, feel the Earth breathing.

Then, synchronize your feet breathing with the Earth.

Breathe with your feet and the Earth for as long as you would like.  

When your finished, take a deep breathe in through your nose and exhale pushing all that doesn't serve you to the Earth.

That's it.
